OyezStraker Group acquires File and Data Storage Ltd

· Adds high-security document management to services portfolio
· Ultra secure document services for blue chip clients

London: 27th July 2006 -- OyezStraker Group, the UK's leading independent office products and business services company, has acquired File and Data Storage Ltd. (FDS), one of the UK's premier data and records management companies.

Based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, with operations through the UK, FDS provides a wide range of tailored storage services to blue chip organisations. The company's customers include Capita, Westbury and Bovis Homes, Smiths Aerospace, BUPA, Zurich, the Environment Agency and Worcestershire NHS Trust.

FDS specialises in providing high-security document and data archiving and retrieval services, disaster recovery facilities and confidential waste destruction for its business partners. As well as its headquarters near Tewkesbury, FDS also has a purpose-built £3 million high security centre at junction nine of the M5, perfectly placed to serve the Midlands, South Wales and the South-west, and making the company a significant employer in the region.

Nick Hodges, Managing Director of Business Services for the OyezStraker Group says, 'The acquisition is a perfect fit with our own blue chip client list and our existing services to the legal profession and other industries. We know that many of our clients have a requirement for professional records management and I believe they will welcome this move as providing the full range of services under one roof.'

FDS managing director Tony Croft says, 'Becoming part of a major UK group is another major step forward for us. OyezStraker's financial backing, infrastructure and market experience will give us the support we need to grow but also ensure we remain focused on quality and value.'

FDS specialises in providing very high security for the archiving and retrieval of boxes, media, and individual files - using the latest scanning and bar coding equipment, scanning and imaging data for electronic storage, specialist tape media handling, x-rays and hospital records, wills, business critical documents, confidential destruction, controlled environment storage, disaster recovery, business continuity and many more services.

FDS's new £3 million centre more than doubles its storage capacity and boasts the highest security levels in its data vault. The company has installed a sophisticated racking and storage system with automated picking of individual boxes, which are all electronically bar-coded, allowing individual files or disks to be retrieved and delivered within hours if required.

The secure data vault and disaster recover suites boast a security system that is so sophisticated that only five similar systems exist in the UK. There is also VESDA fire detection, gas suppression systems and water leak detection at all water points.

FDS is a pioneer in the field of document management. The company was one of the first in the UK to use O'Neil software, now recognised as the world's leading provider to the document storage industry, serving over 700 companies in 37 Countries.
